2009 was an interesting year. For some it has been difficult, with the loss of jobs and homes and for others concerns about health care and security of their savings. As we begin 2010 we must consider all of these matters and then some. Liberty share's your concerns and has a strong desire to help our community through this period. First and foremost we are listening to our customers. By utilizing a series of surveys, we have received your feedback and suggestions and are eager to find ways to help you save money and time. We continue to offer the products and services that will be most beneficial to our depositors. As a community bank we want to make sure we provide information to help our customers make smart financial decisions and to avoid becoming victims of crime and fraud.
By offering workshops, seminars and social events we believe our customers are getting valuable information and tools for better living. We also continue to offer educational presentations on various topics including identity theft, elder law, estate planning, as well as free computer classes for senior citizens. The Community Corner section on the website is new for 2010 and gives visitors access to community specific information - events, photos, chambers, etc.
We have also introduced some money-savings changes that were passed along to our customers. This includes the cost for checks and how they are ordered. We also joined the MoneyPass® ATM network, increasing our available ATMs to over 48,000 nationwide. This allows you to save both time and money by utilizing more ATMs throughout the Chicago area.
