Extensive music library – we bring over 6,000 popular song titles to every event. Bottom line—the music is what sets a DJ service apart. Our music library dates from the 1940’s to current top 40 hits and encompasses every music genre including rock, R & B and country to name a few. No matter how many lights or special effects, it’s the music that makes an event successful. Our experience means guaranteed fun for everyone. It’s not just a large music library that sets apart good DJ services but “catering” the music to your event so that everyone enjoys the music and dances.
Computerized lighting. You won’t find any plain old colored gel lighting at our dances. We use only computerized DJ lighting that throws a variety of colors and patterns on the dance floor while moving to the beat. We recently added the newest technology to our light collection: LED lights.
Special effects are available that include strobe lighting, bubbles, smoke and confetti.*
State-of-the-art concert lighting is available for your event.*

A message from the owner . . . .
For over 15 years I have been providing DJ service at Iowa events. Prior to that, I worked for eight years at radio stations in the Des Moines and Iowa City markets as a producer, programmer, and of course, a dj. During that time I have come to greatly understand the diversity of Iowa people. We are a unique group of people with a wide range of musical and entertainment preferences. It is difficult to define any group at any event within a specific target. That is why Soundsations has been so successful. Soundsations provides music and entertainment that spans multiple groups whether rural or urban, young or old, high intensity or laid-back. Although we all have widely varied backgrounds that make Iowa unique, at the end of the day music can be a common form that can bring people together for a fun-filled evening.
