Welcome to Ankeny Dance, voted best dance studio in Ankeny, Iowa in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010. Ankeny Dance has been a locally-owned studio here for more than three decades and we have a professional staff of dedicated and talented teachers who can challenge students of all abilities.
It is our goal and mission to provide each of our students the training and opportunity to become the best dancer he or she can be. We have found that as each student grows in dance skills and ability, that they also grow in poise and self-confidence. We believe in tailoring our programs to develop both well-rounded dancers and individuals.
In addition to offering combination classes beginning at the age of 2 in tap, ballet and jazz, Ankeny Dance is recognized as one of the finest ballet studios in the state. Our tap program ranks second to none and we challenge our students to develop their proficiency in all facets of dance and movement, including jazz, hip hop, and tumbling. We offer additional ballet classes for students age 9 and older who desire to perfect and master their technique. Students who pass an evaluation for going on pointe have the opportunity to study in our pointe classes as well.
Our curriculum builds a strong foundation for each student to attain their personal goals, whether they dream of performing on stage in dance one day as a career, or just to learn a variety of techniques for the fun and joy of dancing.
