Wesley Woods, a 344 acre site serving children, youth, and adults since 1956. Guests coming for summer camp, birthday parties, family reunions, spiritual retreats, church retreats, time away, and more enjoy Gods beauty and serenity. Our facilities are available 365 days a year. Please let us know how we might serve you!

Staff and volunteers recently disassembled some good playground equipment from a recently closed school. We are excited to design the first Wesley Woods Playground. Some of the options will include the things above, two teeter-totters, up to 18 swings, a slide and some other items. The only needs currently around installation and the opening of the playground is a few bags of sack-crete and some material for safety under the different equipment, and some treated 6 X6 posts.
Summer camp - We have just finished up planning the camps offered for summer 2011. All new will be a half-week camp for children with Autism. We also are adding some journeys and hoping to have even more fun things to do!
Women's Retreat - Wesley Woods second annual Womens Retreat was held Oct. 22-23. Thirty women attended and enjoyed a weekend of rest and fellowship with one another. Ainslee Brillo, a wife and mother of three from Illinois, was the guest speaker. She spoke on the theme Joy in the Journey. The Grimes UMC Praise Band led worship and participants had a chance to participate in activities such as wagon rides, stargazing, horse back riding, canoeing and more. The ladies also had plenty of time to just relax and be in Gods presence. Next years retreat will be held Friday, Oct. 21 Saturday, Oct. 22.
