"What's not right about Christmas?"

Series begins Nov. 27 and 28

Looking at the birth of Jesus, there isn't any facet of the story that seems right or correct. From his family tree, to those who prophesied about his birth, to the timing, nothing seemed right. Yet God had an incredible plan "when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons." Galatians 4:4-5
In this series we will also witness how "the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength." Corinthians 1:25
Come expecting to see how God worked through the imperfect to bring about the perfect, Jesus Christ.

November 6-7 - I Give in Response
We give in response to what God has given to us. When we realize that all we have comes from him and that he has entrusted it to us, we are motivated to give a portion back. Scripture tells us that we are to give willingly, not out of guilt or obligation, for then our offering is acceptable. Small group discussion guide
November 13-14 - I Give to Make a Difference
We give to make a difference in the lives of our congregation, our community, and around the world. We could not continue the ministry of Gloria Dei of bringing Jesus Christ to people for the first time and a lifetime without the offerings of our members. Small group discussion guide
November 20-21 - I Give to Receive a Blessing
When we trust God with our finances and give back to him first, we begin to see how He cares for us, both in things that happen in our lives and in the things that don’t happen.

Through Thrivent ChoiceSM, a new charitable grant program, members can help choose where Thrivent Financial distributes some of its charitable funds each year. A letter will be sent to you shortly.
By directing Choice Dollars, you can request funding for thousands of Lutheran organizations nationwide, including Gloria Dei. Potential designated Choice Dollars amounts that can be directed range from $25 to $500 for each eligible member.
