At Key City Decorative Glass we are experts in the field of designing, fabricating and restoring stained glass windows. Custom designed windows for churches, residential, and businesses. Restoration of stained glass windows and the preservation of these windows is a very big part of what Key City is all about. Starting in Dubuque Iowa in 1910, Key City Decorative Glass Works was founded to make art glass for the sash and door companies in Dubuque. After being employed at Key City since 1912, John Gasell bought the business in 1924 and started making stained glass windows and installing storm windows for churches and homes. After leaving the Marine Corps in 1952, John's son Dan began working with his father and continued until his own son Gary began working in the early 1970's. Gary took over the business in 1989 and continues the great reputation of fine workmanship and craftsmanship in designing, constructing, and restoring historic works of art.
