AMES—Ames High School business teacher Rhonda Schmaltz will spend the next three days in the nation’s capital, just one of two Iowa educators receiving sponsorship from the Iowa Jump$tart Coalition to attend the National Jump$tart Coalition Conference for educators.

Ames Schools Debut Pay-On-Line Service for School Meals
AMES—Parents/guardians with students in the Ames Schools will soon have the easy and convenient option of paying for their student’s school meals online. The Ames Community School District (ACSD) has partnered with RevTrak to simplify how families manage their student’s lunch account, by providing 24 hour-a-day access to make payments and check account balances. The web store will accept VISA and MasterCard credit and debit cards.

Ames High School Athletics Grab the Spotlight this Week AMES—Monday night’s Ames High School (AHS) gridiron victory over Sioux City East kicked off what promises to be a very exciting week for AHS athletics. The Little Cyclones defeated Sioux City East’s Black Raiders 24 – 14. Ames now advances to the quarterfinals in Class 4A football.
