We are helping each other learn about God's love and grow in our personal relationships with God. As our faith grows, we are compelled to reach out to our neighbors and those in need, whether next door or on the other side of the world.
Our worship, education, and ministries are exciting and produce tangible results. Social activities offer fun and purpose for all ages from toddlers to seniors.

A Reconciling Congregation Valuing Inclusiveness and Diversity

The congregation of St Timothys United Methodist church in Cedar Falls celebrates God's gifts as a faith community built upon the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. We are called and strive to be an open, loving, and caring congregation; to proclaim Jesus' love and justice to all; and to live out God's unending love through the inclusiveness and welcoming of all persons, including those of all sexual orientations and gender identities. "Reconciling" is the term used by many in the United Methodist Church to describe their welcome and inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons into the full life of the church. St. Timothys is a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN), a growing movement of United Methodist individuals, congregations, campus ministries, and other groups working for the full participation of all people in the Church.

One person can make a difference in the lives of others by spreading loving kindness

Our 2010 stewardship campaign encourages our members and friends to consider how we can "Pay It Forward" using our financial gifts and talents to make the world a better place through acts of kindness and generosity to others.
In the movie, Pay It Forward (released in 2000), a young boy proposes how the world could be changed if each person who received an act of kindness from another would just pay it forward to three more people, and they in turn would pay it forward.
