Built in 1893, Mont Rest is nestled halfway up a 9 acre wooded bluff overlooking one of the most panoramic views of the mighty Mississippi River. Sit in a rocker on the front porch and watch eagles catching fish from the Mississippi. We're the perfect setting for a honeymoon, anniversary, or just a "getaway" weekend, and are located near two of the largest gambling boats on the Mississippi. We offer thirteen luxurious guest rooms with private bath, many with fireplaces and Jacuzzis.
All of our luxury rooms feature working fireplaces (seasonal), Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtubs, cable TV, VCR/DVD, heated towel bars, Egyptian cotton towels, guest robes, hair dryers, and handmade chocolates. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are available in our main floor kitchen, and we offer such services as in-room therapeutic massage and reflexology. Our concierge service includes reserving tee times at the Bellevue Golf Club, arranging canoe trips on the Maquoketa River, making dinner reservations for area restaurants, getting tickets to local sporting and theater events in the surrounding area, and other information on tourist related activities. Mont Rest is close to several large floating gambling facilities and ski resorts.

Mont Rest Cancellation Policy (Strictly Enforced): You may cancel up to 30 days ahead of your scheduled arrival with no penalty. We will reschedule you for another date as you desire and as long as there is available space that day. If an emergency should arise and you have to cancel inside the 30 day cancellation period, please call us and we will try to resell your reservation. If we resell your reservation, you will be allowed to reschedule on a space available basis. If we are unable to resell your reservation, you will be held responsible for your reservation. You are welcome to reserve up to one year in advance. Please note the expiration date on your certificate. With limited space and the great demand for our rooms, we regret we cannot honor expired certificates. Due to the nature of corporate retreat packages, we are unable to refund any portion of deposits made for reservations. Please call for further clarification or details of our policy.
