Our PhilosophyIt is our strong belief that cognitive, physical, social and emotional facets of development are active from birth. Through planned activities with specific goals and objectives to meet the needs of the individual children as well as that of their group, our children are taught by example as well as instruction. What better way for a child to learn how to interact with their peers, parents, other adults, etc., than to see their teachers working together in a loving, caring manner. We believe that every individual is special and important teachers and children. It is our goal that each child depart from Love-A-Lot with a positive self-concept, knowing that he/she has been successful in at least one area that day.
We feel that in order to be a quality center, everyone (parent, children, and staff) has to work together as a team. We strive to be sensitive to everyones needs, backgrounds, and beliefs. Our goal is for Love-A-Lot to be a comfortable, home-like atmosphere for you and your child.
About Our CenterLove-A-Lot began operation in July of 1984 in a charming remodeled church located at 213 5th St. in Coralville. We are conveniently located near the University Hospitals and campus. Our center is designed, equipped, and staffed with the child in mind. As an extension of your family, we want you to feel free to call the centerfor help and/or assistance. We have an open door policy that allows parents to visit us anytime.

Love-A-Lot Early Childhood Center is family owned and operated and licensed by the State of Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS). We comply with all the childcare regulations set forth by DHS, and in many areas go above and beyond the required standards. A copy of the Child Day Care Licensing Standards and Procedures is available upon request.
