Willowwind is an independent elementary and preschool for children ages three through twelve. The school was founded in 1972 by a group of educators and parents to provide an innovative approach to education for the Iowa City community. Willowwind is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation financially managed by a board of directors. Since 1972, hundreds of children have benefited from the superior education available at Willowwind School. To meet our growing needs, we are now located at 950 Dover Street in a new, state-of-the-art facility.
