Electricity Safety Tips
North West Rural Electric Cooperative
We are a consumer-owned rural electric cooperative distribution utility that provides electric service to over 9,000 accounts. Our members are made up of farm, residential, commercial, industrial and irrigation customers, and are the reason we exist. We strive to provide our members with reliable rural electric power that is competitively priced and other services that enhance their quality of life.
While the majority of our service territory is in Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth and Ida Counties in northwest Iowa, our service area also extends into Lyon, Osceola, Clay, Cherokee, Sac, Crawford and Woodbury Counties. Our service area has grown through the years, due to consolidations of smaller Rural Electric Cooperatives. We have three offices and four service centers. Walk-in office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. The Ida Grove and Le Mars offices are closed from 12:00 12:30 p.m. There are outside depositories available for after hours payments. Customers may call us toll free at 1-800-766-2099.
