Innkeeper Terry Moore is ordained to perform non-denominational weddings.
Make your Wedding a truly Historic Event with the charm, romance and elegance of a Century-old Church.
The newly restored Penn Avenue Wedding Chapel (circa 1896), located in the Adair County Heritage Center Complex, is the ideal setting for the truly unforgettable Wedding of your Dreams, and the Brass Lantern is the ideal setting for an equally unforgettable Honeymoon!
This lovely, century-old Chapel is also a very appealing place for married couples to renew their vows and bring friends and family together for a renewal celebration.
In addition to the Penn Avenue Wedding Chapel, possible locations include the Madison County covered bridges, including the Roseman Bridge; or poolside at the Brass Lantern B&B. Terry is also available to travel to the location of your choice, within 75 miles.
A small rental fee is charged for use of the Chapel; there is no fee for use of the bridges. Contact us about poolside arrangements.
The Brass Lantern Bed & Breakfast is located 1.5 miles east of Greenfield, on the south side of State Highway 92. Greenfield is located at the intersection of Hwy 92 and Hwy 25.

If you're traveling from the west on I-80, take Exit 86 (State Hwy 25) south to Hwy 92 (about 13 miles) and turn left (east). Our drive will be on your right.
If you're traveling from the east on I-80, take Exit 93 (County road P28, the Stuart exit) south to Hwy 92 (about 12 miles) and turn right (west). Our drive will be on your left (about 6 miles).
If you're traveling on I-35, take Exit 56 (State Hwy 92). Follow Hwy 92 west all the way to The Brass Lantern. Our drive will be on your left, about 22 miles west of Winterset.
If you're traveling from Omaha, simply follow Iowa Hwy 92 east. Our drive will be on your right, 1.5 miles east of Greenfield.
If you're traveling from Kansas City on I-29, take Hwy 71 north (at Maryville) to Hwy 92. Turn right (east) on Hwy 92. Our drive will be on your right, about 1.5 miles east of Greenfield.
If you're traveling from Winterset, simply follow Hwy. 92 west. Our drive will be on your left, about 22 miles from the intersection with 169, just west of Winterset.
Our buildings are cream, with red roofs and blue trim. If you're driving east on Hwy 92, you'll see a sign announcing the approaching entry (good time to start to slow down from highway speed), and you'll see the guest house and farm house on your right before you reach the entrance. If you're driving west on Hwy 92, you'll see the barn and stables on your left as you approach down the hill. The entrance is directly in front of the stable, so be aware of a need to slow down before passing that point!
Just follow the driveway all the way to the parking area to the left of the guest house at the very end of the drive. Then make yourselves at home! Please let us know the approximate time of your arrival, so we can be present to greet you and show you your accommodations!
