Endodontics is a specialty area of dentistry dealing with root canal-related procedures. Patients are referred to our office to receive root canal treatment or for an evaluation to determine if a root canal procedure is required. The treatment procedures enable most teeth to be saved that would otherwise be lost.
For Root Canal Therapy
Our usual fee has been established according to the location and complexity of the evaluation and treatment required: Anteriors (Front Teeth) Bicuspids (Middle Teeth) Molars (Back Teeth) Permanent Filling in the access opening.
Retreatment of previous root canal therapy and surgery treatment fees are separate.
For an Evaluation
The fee has been established according to the location and number of teeth examined and the nature of the diagnostic procedures.
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time to fill out a one page health history. If one year has passed since your last time in the office, you will need to complete another health history form. If you are taking several prescriptions and you have them listed, we will be happy to make a copy of the list for you. If a patient is under the age of 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian will need to be present with the patient to approve the work to be done.
Please bring all insurance information so that we may file your insurance as a courtesy, we will need to have your correct insurance information. Please bring an insurance card for us to copy at the time of your appointment. Endodontics, P.C. participates with Delta Dental of Iowa, Blue Dental, Principal, and DeCare Dental Teamsters Program. The fee paid by any insurance company is the amount of your policy limits for root canal therapy. Customarily, the fee paid is about 50% of our fees. You are responsible for the balance after insurance. Please call your insurance administrator if you are unsure of your policy limits.
